''My name is Kaz...I am the daughter of Okie the founder of O.W Ellis funeral director. He was an amazing man, who revolutionised how funerals were carried out in this area and the first person to provide a dedicated chapel of rest in shotton and hawarden to provide grieving relatives with a dignified way to say goodbye to their loved ones. Sadly he was taken from us at a young age but not before establishing a reputation as an exceptional human being and an amazing funeral director who carried out his services with dignity and compassion. My Dad conducted Mark's dads funeral many years ago and he described him to me as "a great man" who had influenced his decision to become a funeral director himself and went on to work for O.W.Ellis for some years... Mark ventured out with Tracy to establish their own business Busby and Kane and I have attended many funerals conducted by them. It was very apparent that Mark had very similar qualities to my Dad as did Tracy. Kind, caring, dignified , professional, understanding and an immaculate turn out both of themselves and the vehicles. Last year my sister and I were privileged to be invited to opening of the new offices at shotton which had previously belonged to my Dad. It was an emotional but proud day for us both and one we will never forget! 

The reason I am waffling on is that I wanted people reading this post to see a little bit of history behind my next comments.

During this horrendous period of covid19, my husband and beloved brother in law to my sister sadly passed away. It was Mark and Tracy that I turned to in our hour of sadness. Under extremely difficult circumstances Mark arranged and conducted his funeral in a special way, bringing him home to us to say goodbye. We were unable to attend the cremation due to lockdown which was hard to comprehend but I knew Mark and Tracy would look after him and carry out our wishes with the respect he deserved. I just knew he was in safe hands! 

If my Dad had lived a longer life, I feel sure that Mark would have gone on to run O.W.Ellis and carry on Dads unique way of caring for people. However I feel very proud that while Busby and Kane exists a little bit of Okie remains. No corporate sell of a big consortium, just a caring family business run by people who know how you are feeling at your time of grief and vulnerability. I thank Mark and Tracy for their kindness to us as a family ....you will always hold a special place in our hearts for so many reasons. Xxxxxxxx''
